Tomy Chowaran is a Salesian from India. He lives in Kurnool (Andrah Pradesh) and works for street children, gypsies (Shikaris) and young people who have dropped out of school.
Father Tomy has visited Floreaga and has been talking to several people: the Salesian community, students of all the classes of DBH, students of Primary, their teachers and some parents…
We have learned a lot about these young people from India, their problems, their hopes,… and we have practised some English, listening to his explanations, asking him some questions and so on …
The Salesian community of Kurnool is working hard to offer the kids in risk better possibilities in the future, and they need economical support. We hope that Father Tomy will get the help that young people from Kurnool need.
It’s been a great pleasure to receive your visit. Thanks!!!
Irailaren 22tik 24ra gure artean izan dugu bisitan Tomy Chowaran, Indiako Salestar apaiza. Indiako hego aldean bizi da, Kurnool hirian, eta Salestarrek han hiru motatako lana egiten duten batez ere: kaleko umeei aterpea eman, Shikari ume ijitoei janari eta alfabetizazioa eskaini, gazteentzat lanbide heziketa moldatu,… Tomyk beraien eguneroko lana aurkeztu zien Salestar komunitateari eta DBHko ikasle guztiei. LHko umeei ere “egun onak“ eman zizkien.
Lanbide heziketa arloan aukera zabaldu nahi dute, gaztetxoei iturgintza, etxeko elektrizitatean eta hozkailuen teknologian prestakuntza eskainiz. Diru laguntza behar dute. Onena opa diogu Tomyri. Ondo segi eta eskerrik asko.
